ADELLAIDE – Adellaide EP (2016)

Here we have another promising and welcomed band to the AOR / Melodic Rock community: ADELLAIDE, and their pretty awesome self-titled debut EP, a teaser for their front coming debut album set for release in 2017.

Adellaide was founded by vocalist Daniel Vargas, ex-Horyzon, another really good AOR band presented here on the blog last year.
Inspired by names like Journey, Survivor, Foreigner, mixed with more modern AOR sounds such as Care Of Night, Serpentine, Sonic Station, etc, Adellaide delivers classy melodies in best tradition of the genre.

Produced by Almah’s guitarist Tito Falaschi (brother of ex- Angra vocalist Edu Falaschi), “Adellaide EP” counts with three tracks, opening with the driving ‘Save Your Love’ filled with lovely synth stabs and a vocal tone similar to Hugo / Journey.
Next, the heavenly AOR waves of ‘Heroes’ has known melodic rocker Joey Summer and Rodrigo Marenna (from Marenna, another promising band) both participating in backing / harmony vocals.
The EP round up with ‘Edge of Feelings’, starting as an atmospheric ballad and then turning an uptempo melodic rocker in the Sunstorm vein.

Another welcomed act to the classy AOR / Melodic Rock field, Adellaide has all the ingredients that made this genre so unique taking as inspiration the greats, namely Journey, Survivor, Strangeways.
