LOVE ADRENALINE – Love Adrenaline (2016)
LOVE ADRENALINE is a new Danish Melodic Hard Rock act formed in early 2015 by current and former members of Rauchy, Mnemic, Starrats and Artillery, all experienced musicians with all the classic sound of the genre running through their veins.
“Love Adrenaline” is their self-titled debut EP, a brilliant pack of songs that leaves you hungry for more.
Love Adrenaline started as a home project from guitarist and composer Victor Salomonsen, but shortly a band was formed with friends, Lars Christensen (Rauchy), Morten Toft Hansen (Rauchy, Blood Eagle), Jesper Kvist (Raunchy) & Søren ‘Nico’ Adamsen (ex-Starrrats, Artillery), all active bands in the Scandinavian scene.
Love Adrenaline was growing and growing, and now Salomonsen is fully concentrated in the band, talking with record labels for a full length release.
With inspiration from Whitesnake, Blue Murder, Firehouse, Ratt, Dokken, Hurricane, Def Leppard, and many more from the classic Melodic Hard Rock pantheon, Love Adrenaline add their own Scandi touch to their music resulting a punchy, catchy collection of tunes.
From the go opener ‘I Want More’, despite the smooth synths at the start, rocks with a furious rhythm and a sound recalling Germans Domain. Kick ass tune. Follower ‘God Bless Rock’ adds more groove and over the top vocals, but no less energy.
In ‘Another Shot Of Love’ the band turns much more melodic with a terrific midtempo akin Whitesnake / John Sykes era, and Swedes Bad Habit. Great track, a highlight.
The sharp guitar work on ‘River Of Pain’ brings to mind Blue Murder, but the overall sonic feel is quite Scandinavian similar to Swedish greats – and underrated melodic hard rockers – Damned Nation.
Closer ‘Fell Out Of Heaven’ is another monster track mixing clean and distorted riffs, lovely keyboards, a highly melodic refrain and a delicious chorus.
Coming out of nowhere, “Love Adrenaline” is an unexpected, fantastic new Melodic Hard Rock band from Scandinavia (another one!) which will surprise you with terrific songs, superb performances and a great production.
This debut EP leaves you hungry for more, they are awesome, believe me.
