Tomorrow is the day for the release of “Starlight“, the awaited JON STEVENS new album where he joins forces with legendary musician, songwriter and producer Dave Stewart of Eurythmics, who co-wrote and produced the album. Ringo Starr plays drums on the lonely ballad ‘One Way Street’ and ‘Something Bout You’ features the vocals of Vanessa Amorosi.

Recognized as one of the most talented rock musicians to emerge from Australia in recent memory, Stevens has had phenomenal success as a solo artist, knocking Michael Jackson off the top of the charts in Australia.
And as the lead singer of major rock acts, he did it first with Noiseworks, then INXS after the death of his friend Michael Hutchence, and recently hard rock super-group The Dead Daisies.

With “Starlight” Jon Stevens is back and focused on the thing he loves most — playing and making music. And when a man of music integrity, in the shape of award winning Eurythmics guitarist and producer Dave Stewart, gives your talent the tick of approval, Stevens is a happy man.
Stewart claims Stevens has one of the most extraordinary voices he has ever recorded, and the result was this organic, complete, and quite rocking album.

With a solid backdrop of classic rock, blues and soul that amps up the atmosphere without monopolising your attentions, Stewart has captured Jon Stevens’ original fire providing to his vocals some edge.
On the rockers Jon feels raspy and powerful, while on the ballads such as the aforementioned ‘One Way Street’ there’s a soulful confidence. The man can sing any style with equal ease, and on the bluesy ‘Oh Lord’ he shines. There’s also a very nice duet with female singer Vanessa Amorosi on ‘Something ’bout You’.
