It’s finally here: WHITESNAKE‘s smash hit album “1987 (30th Anniversary Remaster 2017)” in its Super Deluxe Edition Box set including 4CD+DVD, plenty of previously unreleased material and the Original Album freshly Remastered 2017.
As fans will known the track listings were different in the America and the UK for the original release. This reissue 2017 adhere’s to neither but is the same tracks and sequence as the 20th anniversary edition.

Well, after the first listen, I must say this 2017 remaster impressed me.
Honestly, “1987” never sounded better.

I always had an issue with the album’s drum sound – nothing relevant, but a bit muddy to my ears – and now the snare and cymbals feel fantastic.
Additionally, the bass tracks are superb now. Just check the atmospheric, second half of ‘Give Me All Your Love’… awesome clear-cut bass sound.
Finally, the mastering is near perfect.

“1987 (30th Anniversary Remaster 2017)”… worth the investment?
Definitely YES!
Amazing album : Amazing remaster.
