Songs Of Experience” is the upcoming fourteenth studio album by U2 to be released on 1 December 2017. The album is intended to be a companion piece to U2’s previous record, Songs Of Innocence.
Whereas its predecessor explored the group members’ adolescence in Ireland in the 1970s, “Songs Of Experience” thematically is a collection of letters written by lead vocalist Bono to people and places closest to his heart.

I really like U2’s music. Their ’80s albums were part of my regular play for many years, and when they changed for a ‘more modern’ sound I also dig it again.
I think ‘Achtung Baby’ is one of U2’s best works, because despite its electronics and samplers, it packs something you can’t beat – it this surpases if you like a musical genre or not – and that is excellent songs.

Lately, U2 disappointed me in many ways. “Songs Of Experience” is not different. The personal nature of the lyrics are good, but musically…

Yesterday, Rolling Stone Magazine released its list of the year’s 50 best albums, and U2’s “Songs Of Experience” has claimed the No. 3 spot. What?
The album isn’t officially out until Friday, so most people haven’t heard it yet. We have, though, and can tell you it’s nowhere close to being a Top 3 album of 2017.

I am sure there’s many U2 fans reading this blog, so here it is. I guess many will like it, to us, “Songs Of Experience” is just another dud in U2’s once flawless discography.
