ANGELINE – This Time EP’s Vol 1 & 2 + Higher Than Love single (2019)

Veteran hard workers from the Swedish Melodic Rock scene ANGELINE are releasing a new EP titled “This Time EP Vol 2”. Also they re-released “This Time EP Vol 1″ originally appeared few years ago to celebrate the band’s 25th anniversary in the rock business, and there’s as well the single ‘Higher Than Love’ from Angeline’s last full length including a previously unreleased track as B-side.

As you would expect and typical from Angeline, they offer solid Melodic Rock in the AOR tradition on tracks such as “Can You Feel It Now?”, title track, the soaring AOR of “20 to Life”, and my absolute favorite, the killer “Anything at All”, a terrific tune that worth these EP’s alone.

They get a bit edgier on “Into the Fire”, “N.Y.C” is smooth Scandi AOR, while “Days Go By” is a quieter piece, a ballad where the guitar line is enlivened by mandolin performed by guest Micke ‘Nord’ Andersson (Roxette).
The single “Higher Than Love” is one of the best songs from Angeline’s last full length album, the we find as B-side the previously unreleased the melodic rocker “Somebody Save Us Now”, recorded during the 2000’s and taken from the band’s vault.

On both EP’s Angeline delivers classic Scandi Melodic Rock, varied in style including AOR-style numbers, strong musicianship and solid production.
