There’s a very interesting batch of new releases this 2019 Summer, so let’s go with our classic 0dayrox Advanced Releases singles.
BLACK STAR RIDERS just presented a brand new single, “Ain’t The End Of The World”, taken from the band’s forthcoming fourth album “Another State Of Grace” set for release on September 6 via Nuclear Blast. “Ain’t The End Of The World” is yet another example of BLACK STAR RIDERS’ skillful songwriting and distinctive sound. The track displays the band’s unique sonic dimension, in which Scott Gorham’s guitar intertwines with Christian Martucci’s, the rhythmic section solidly sustains the melody throughout the song, and Ricky Warwick’s powerful and raw vocals harmoniously bind music and lyrics.

AOR singer Rod Marenna (MARENNA) and guitarist Alex Meister (PLEASURE MAKER) presents your new collaborative project/band, named MARENNA – MEISTER, and their first single “Follow Me Up”, a killer melodic rock driven tune.
Both musicians are joining their experiences of more than 25 years dedicated to this musical style with tons of ’80s energy, and are working on a full release

Last year DEGREED released their excellent self-titled album, which opened new doors for the band and shortly after the release they spent a month on the road together with Swedish rockers H.E.A.T all over Europe. Now it’s time for “You All Know My Name”, the second single off the upcoming album, a rocking, dynamic track.

As Sweden’s PERFECT PLAN commence work on the follow-up to their debut album All Rise released by Frontiers Muisc, the boys took some time out to record a cover of the FOREIGNER classic, “That Was Yesterday”. Their version is excellent, and seems this track won’t be available elsewhere, so grab this standalone single.

Sweden’s CREYE released last year one of the best AOR albums in recent time, now are presenting an acoustic version of “Holding On”, the opening track from the CD. This is the very first I listen to Creye in this acoustic format, and they are very good too aside the synths and huge production.

H.E.A.T did a terrific performance at Sweden Rock festival on June 7, 2018 which followed their studio album Into The Great Unknown. “Live At Sweden Rock Festival” will be released on July 26 via earMUSIC as CD+BD Digipak and Digital. Here wecan hear “Living on the Run”.

TYKETTO has just released by themselves a live concert titled “We’ve Got Tomorrow, We’ve Got Tonight!”. In June 2018, they headed off to the lovely town of Pontypridd, Wales with a 14 piece band to produce a very special concert and live video event. The goal was to mix things up with radically different versions of your favorite Tyketto tunes that span their entire career. Here’s the great version of “Wings”.

SILENT TIGER is the next exciting chapter in the musical journey for Jean Funes, founding member and guitarist of Hearts On Fire. With HOF vocalist Richard Andermyr working on new RIAN material this year, Jean started to record some new songs with singer David Cagle (JK Northrup). “Chasing The Wind” is the first, melodic rockin’ single.

“Rise Up” is the advanced single from LICENCE‘s forthcoming album ‘Never 2 Old 2 Rock’ which will be released worldwide August 2nd. LICENCE are bringing back the sound of the 80s in a new way without sounding old. Heavy, melodic and catchy.

Norwegian hard rockers STARGAZER have premiered the video for the title track off their upcoming second album ‘The Sky Is The Limit’ to be released through Mighty Music later 2019. These guys rock with a serious groove, with clean an powerful vocals.

NORTHTALE is some kind of a supergroup: guitarist Bill Hudson (Trans-Siberian Orchestra, U.D.O.), vocalist Christian Eriksson (ex-Twilight Force), and drummer Patrick Johansson (ex-Yngwie Malmsteen, ex-W.A.S.P.) in late 2017, the lineup was quickly completed by Mikael Planefeldt (bass) as well as keyboardist Jimmy Pitts.
Now the quintet has finalized their highly-anticipated debut album, entitled ‘Welcome To Paradise’, which will see the light of day this summer. ‘Shape Your Reality’ is one of the advances.

ACCEPT has released a special 7″ vinyl single featuring a brand new studio track titled “Life’s A Bitch”. Guitarist Wolf Hoffmann comments, “We love the title of the single…WHO does not agree to that. It is universal, even if the stories are different”. However, musically, it’s a fun rocker, not heavy or dark at all, even with some boogie on it.

JOURNEY guitarist NEAL SCHON will be releasing the album entitled “Universe”, this fall. Honoring and remembering PRINCE (who died of an accidental fentanyl overdose on April 21, 2016) the first advance is a cover of “Purple Rain”.
A few years ago, Schon and JOURNEY keyboardist Jonathan Cain told that Prince reached out to them in early 1984 to see if the new song he was working on was too similar to their hit ballad, “Faithfully”. “‘I want to play something for you, and I want you to check it out,'” Cain recalled Prince saying.
“The chord changes are close to ‘Faithfully’, and I don’t want you to sue me.” Cain said: “I thought it was an amazing tune, and I told him, ‘Man, I’m just super-flattered that you even called. It shows you’re that classy of a guy. Good luck with the song. I know it’s gonna be a hit.’ And it was ‘Purple Rain’.”
Added Schon: “Prince felt, I guess, it was obvious enough that he was worried we were going to sue him. I think he called our office asking about it and we all talked about it and everybody said, ‘Nah, it’s the highest form of flattery. Let it go.'”
Love this 8 minute (!) version.
