A’PRIORI – Black Church (2019)

A'PRIORI - Black Church (2019) full
HERE

The rock and roll revival that is the unhinged three piece of pure jam fury A’PRIORI, announce the release of their full length album “Black Church” available mid November. This Irish power trio brings back the classic hard rock riffage to the fore, with incendiary vocals and organ keys runs.
The band will are touring UK supporting melodic rockers Age Of Reflection and already presented some advanced singles, but if you happen to be encountering A’PRIORI for the first time here today, you had best prepare yourself for the experience.

This devout trinity of instrument bearing evangelicals – Tony Lang (lead vocal, guitar), Mouse (drums, backing vocals), and Mark Wilson (keyboards, backing vocals) – place their faith in the power of rock and roll.
With an electrifying spirit coursing through their veins, these lads praise the glory of the guitar, keys, and drums in such a way that it is impossible to quench.

They open the disc with the explosive song “Better Man”, and since then the rockin’ shuffle never stops.
This Blackpool based trio delivers a unique twist on Hard rock. The bands musical style focuses on hard hitting catchy riffs, memorable choruses, powerful drums and keyboard wizardry that blends the entire sound, better than a Bass Guitar ever could.

Yes, there’s no bass player here. This has been done by The Doors decades ago, but not by a hard rock band. A’PRIORI uses pedals and keyboards for their musical foundation, and the sound obtained is quite original.
There’s a heavy groove on title track ‘Black Church’, a song in the vein of Inglorious without the sheen, then ‘Liberty’ smells a little Thin Lizzy. I hear British classic rock touches on the catchy ‘Wasted Years’, while ‘Lady in Red’ has some Greta Van Fleet on it, with all the influences carrying on it.

A’PRIORI brings back the classic hard rock sound on “Black Church” served in a different way: no bass guitar and a dry production sound resulting in a lively collection of songs. Indeed, these guys should be hot on stage.
Rockin’ stuff with an old shcool vibe created by young musicians – not all is lost from the new generation of rockers – and A’PRIORI is fine proof of it.
