FIRSTBORNE – Firstborne (2020)

Almost out of nowhere, former Lamb Of God drummer Chris Adler has linked up with bassist James Lomenzo (ex- White Lion, Black Label Society) to form the new band FIRSTBORNE. The group has just released their self-titled debut recording.
In addition to Adler and Lomenzo, Firstborne is rounded out by guitarist Myrone and singer Girish Pradhan, the awesome Indian vocalist which surprised us with his band Girish And The Chronicles.

The group’s line up was complete after Adler spent multiple weeks performing clinics in India, where he shared the stage with Pradhan. The drummer had been a fan of Los Angeles-based guitarist and producer Myrone beforehand and got in touch to work together on the new group.

Musically the Firstborne’s sound is classic American melodic metal with, of course, stupendous musicianship, vibrant vocals, and very interesting social lyrics
Heavy, but very melodic and punchy, in many ways remembering the glorious days of 80s US metal. As proof of its direction, not only it’s being released on vinyl LP but also cassette tape.
