PETER CARLSOHN, best known for being bassist in legendary Swedish hard rock band Jerusalem, is announcing his debut album “Out Of The Blue” mixed by Tobias Lindell (Europe, H.E.A.T), and mastered by Thomas ”Plec” Johansson (Dynazty, H.E.A.T) which will be released on August 7th, 2020, via the record label JONO and distributed by Sound Pollution under the name PETER CARLSOHN’s THE RISE.
This is his debut album as a solo artist, but there are quite some years of experience behind this project. The music is melodic, 80s inspired, easy to sing along with. Peter plays the bass guitar, and sings lead vocals on all the songs.

Peter Carlsohn is also member of melodic rockers XT, but now he has his mind set for new adventures with this solo project called Peter Carlsohn’s The Rise, which is a gathering of other experienced musicians, like Michael Ulvsgärd (Jerusalem), Stephen Carlson (Chakra), his brother Lars Carlsohn, Svenne Jansson (Glam, Golden Resurrection, Jerusalem), and Cutta John Kåre Gullestad (Cutta, Crush, Rune Edvardsen & Red Band, Steven K Band, Heartless).

Peter handles the lead vocals for the first time, and on some songs he sings along with Cutta, which results into something different, because we have two vocals at the same time. Longtime friend Michael Ulvsgärd adds some really hard hitting drum grooves, and along with Peter’s bass, the old bandmates creates a musical foundation for Svenne Jansson to add some dirty Hammond organ upon, along with excellent guitar work from both talented Stephen Carlson, and Peter’s brother Lars Carlsohn.

From uptempo songs like the album single ‘Sing The Song’ and opening track ‘Holy Ground’, to the epic ballad ‘Gloria’ and the bluesy ‘Why’ with its riffs and 70s-vibe, the band captures the listener in well-composed songs, melodic and very well produced to keep you interested.
As said, Carlsohn’s lead vocals are quite tiny, most the time doubled by Cutta John Kåre Gullestad resulting into an interesting harmony pair. Stephen Carlson (Chakra) delivers some impressive guitar solos (just check ‘A Kiss From Above’).
