NATURAL BORN MACHINE (feat. David Readman) - Human (2021) full

Human’‘ is the debut album for singer David Readman (Pink Cream 69) fronting NATURAL BORN MACHINE, a new international Melodic Hard Rock band. Conceived in 2019, Natural Born Machine is the brainchild of bassist / composer Alberto Rigoni (Bad As, Vivaldi Metal Project), including the talents of guitarist Alessio “Lex” Tricarico (Bad As) and drummer Denis “Denzy” Novello (Ardityon) in the lineup.
Natural Born Machine offers us a refined version of bluesy hard rock that relies on strong melodies, powerful choruses and slick guitar work to fill in the blanks. David Readman’s vocals are clear and clean, and the songs straight to the point.

Among the highlights, “Moonchild” has a very cool feel that reminds of early Whitesnake, as the vocals and guitar leads are well written and performed over catchy riffs. Another song that takes us back in time is the up tempo “Machine” that has some nice dynamics as it goes from heavy riffing to more subtle parts that show off Readman’s talents.

“Won’t Be Friends” takes it up a notch in tempo and power, with cool bluesy overtones interspersed with snappy choruses. ”Beast In The Dark” adds something different with its clever midpoint breakdown, featuring acoustic guitar over bass and drums.
Then one bright spot of note is the song “Reborn”, which has an early Rainbow feel about it.

Mixing some Seventies / Eighties hard rock riffage with a bluesy focus and strong instrumentation, NATURAL BORN MACHINE rocks hard, with melody. Readman’s vast abilities are used here on a powerhouse mode, quite raw at places but fitting the material on offer.
A solid debut. Highly Recommended
