One of you asked for glam hard rockers ROXX GANG major label debut album 1988’s “Things You’ve Never Done Before“. The album was reissued / remastered in 2000’s.
Well, this is a rare CD reissue including that remastered audio plus 5 bonus tracks, rare singles and songs from their first indie recording. While isn’t an official reissue this is a professionally made, silver pressed CD and the quality is top notch.
The first time I heard on the radio ‘No Easy Way Out’, the first single from this album, was one of those magical moments where a song just flows through your soul. Kevin Steele’s vocals had a unique charisma all their own. I picked up the album ‘Things You’ve Never Done Before’ and put it on repeat.
While I’m convinced someone could have just made a spark and sent them into a collective ball of fire with all the aqua net they had in their hair, they did provide some differences from their peers. Some of their lyrics were a little darker, but at other times, they were as juvenile and fun as the stereotypes of the time.
It’s a great one!
