Swedish guitar player & vocalist ANDRÉE THEANDER is a well known name for this website, having released exquisite albums solo and with his THE THEANDER EXPRESSION, all with a strong AOR infused Melodic Rock feeling.
But Theander is a complete musician always eager to explore new musical territories. That’s the case with his new band CLOUDS OF CLARITY and their debut album “Superficial Society“. The musical approach here is mix of classic rock&pop from the Scandinavian factory, some modern blues, funk, and more. And ‘more’ means Theander still drops melodic rock riffs here, just with an updated, stylized delivery.
The refreshing thing about CLOUDS OF CLARITY is the sound production and the very interesting lyrics. Of course with Theander at the helm we find good songwriting and great playing, but again, what makes “Superficial Society” so special is the pristine, ‘in the air’ dynamic sound.
