GRRR! is the greatest hits album by THE ROLLING STONES to commemorate the band’s 50th anniversary. GRRR! features two new tracks recorded in Paris for this release, as well as a career-spanning collection of hits. Highlights include the band’s first single version of Chuck Berry’s “Come On”, “The Last Time”, “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction”, “Get Off Of My Cloud”, “Jumping Jack Flash”, “Honky Tonk Women” and the juke-box and concert favourites “Brown Sugar”, “Tumbling Dice”, “Miss You” and “Start Me Up”.
There were various formats available but as requested, this is the Super Deluxe Edition, containing 80 tracks across 4 CDs. It also includes a bonus CD with 5 tracks (IBC demos, 1963), plus a 7″ vinyl with 4 tracks (BBC session, 1964) – for a total of a mammoth 89 track-collection.
This “GRRR! [Super Deluxe Edition Box Set]” has become hard to find and pretty expensive, over € 350.

The new songs are two of the better the group has released in quite some time.’Doom and Gloom’ has a classic Rolling Stones feel to it, and Mick Jagger and guitarist Keith Richards sound great on the track, especially for men of their ages. ‘One More Shot’ sounds more like many of the band’s hits from the 1980s with more of an upbeat sound.

“GRRR!” is offered in five different versions, some of which include 50 tracks to commemorate 50 years, and this suped deluxe that offers 89.
All versions start out with ‘Come On’, the band’s first hit single from 1963, which was actually a cover of a Chuck Berry song. The next material then move through the group career before ending with the two new tracks.

This Super Deluxe Edition includes an additional 30 tracks, which features edited and revamped versions of a lot of the classic songs and a recording session of demos from 1963 and 1964 BBC session.
“GRRR!” is far from being the first greatest hits album The Rolling Stones have released, but perhaps their best and most complete for sure.
A great listen for any classic rock fan.
