Swedes ALICATE return with album number four titled “Heaven Tonight“, a mature, emotional melodic record with some stupendous classic sounding Scandi AOR tunes (“Heaven Tonight” or “Ride The Storm”) and some moments with a classic British sound (“You’re Gone”).
The previous effort ‘Butterfly’ (2022) has been really good but this one is even better as the band polished the arrangements to detail and overall songwriting is more focused. The Swedish outfit around Jonas Erixon (v/g) fully convinces with top class performances and a smooth production.
“Heaven Tonight” is easily ALICATE most complete album to date, classy and at the same time updated to contemporary style for the Melodic Hard Rock / AOR genres.
