HERE

As requested, here’s the Bad Reputation Records remaster on 1994’s SLEEZE BEEZ album “Insanity Beach“, a pretty killer, rockin’ melodic hard rock album. Despite the rock music turning darker and depressive in 1994, these Dutch guys didn’t noticed, and continued crafting feel-good arena-ready anthems. They were big in Japan, and Europe loved ’em.
Regardless of their name, SLEEZE BEEZ never were lipstick n’ hairspray, just sweat and rock n’ roll, and even more on “Insanity Beach”, a punchy, polished, guitar driven collection of melodic hard rock. This reissue features 3 bonus tracks: ‘We Do Rock ‘n’ Roll’ only appeared in the domestic edition of SLEEZE BEEZ second album ‘Screwed, Blued And Tattooed’, plus two single B-sides.
If that wasn’t enough, this Bad Reputation release adds a second, extra disc, plenty of bonus > 11 rare tracks.

Andrew Elt is a brilliant rock n’ roll singer – he’s fronting a Led Zeppelin coverband these days and you can tell why – he does have a Robert Plant-ish touch to his vocals (and his appearance), although Elt fits the Eighties / early Nineties idiom a little more. Jan Koster is a true power hitter and Ed Jongsma delivers bass lines just slightly more interesting than the standard Rock bassist. And you have in Chriz van Jaarsveld and Don van Spall two awesome guitarists. Check out the guitar work in ‘The Long Goodbye’ and ‘Sacrifice’ for great examples.

The tension build-up in ‘Save Myself’ makes the song one of the highlights, the atmosphere and spoken parts in ‘Gun Culture’ bring to mind Queensryche, and the slower, creeping ‘D.U.I. (Intoxicated)’ and ‘Hate Rock And Roll’ (did anyone say ‘Kashmir’?) are welcome variations in the tempo department.
Rest assured though, ‘Scream’ revives the party atmosphere of most of ‘Screwed, Blued And Tattooed’.
The bonuses include rare live tracks and B-sides, all with good sound quality.

SLEEZE BEEZ’s “Insanity Beach” rocks hard, with melody and hooks galore. (thanks to MD for this reissue)
