Deadline Music is releasing “The 1987 Demos”, the ENUFF Z’NUFF recordings that started it all and got them signed by Atlantic/ATCO. This digipak release features the 10-track professionally recorded demos prior to their celebrated self-titled debut album of Chicago’s premiere melodic rock outfit – all remastered plus 2 previously unreleased tracks.
Fans have long treasured these songs – including their massive hit single “Fly High Michelle”, “New Thing” and “I Could Never Be Without You” – but they’ve never heard these early versions performed by the band’s classic line-up of Chip, Donnie, Derek and Vikki with a rawness and passion that for many will result even better than group’s major label releases.
There’s a lively, energetic delivery in these recordings that made ’em special, and we have 2 unreleased tracks as bonus.
