SHARK ISLAND – Deep Cuts Demos Vol. 1 [Unreleased] Rare
A few days ago we featured the very good new SHARK ISLAND album ‘Memento Mori’, and also the Bad Reputation reissue of the band’s excellent major label debut 1989’s ‘Law Of The Order’.
SHARK ISLAND disbanded shortly after, a pity, as they were working for success since the early ’80s (previously known a ‘Sharks’) and they were really talented. The band finally reunited in 2005 with an album released by frontiers Music.
But in between, and with fans asking for a Shark Island comeback, 3 albums / CD’s of demos called ”Deep Cuts – Demos Vol 1, Vol 2, and Vol 3 were released in 1999. While not official, it was the band who supplied the material included on these now treasurable CD’s.
”Deep Cuts – Demos” includes 42 unreleased songs, recorded by SHARK ISLAND during all their existence, taped between 1986 – 1991. Not only all are really strong songs, but audio quality is A+, very good.
Here’s “Deep Cuts Demos Vol. 1“, a great collection of US American Hard Rock from a band that deserved stardom.
