COMPANY OF WOLVES – Shakers & Tamborines [Bad Reputation remaster +1] (2024) HQ *Exclusive*

Bad Reputation Records specialists have reissued COMPANY OF WOLVES very first recordings sold by the band themselves in the late Nineties, however this remastered version blows out of the water that indie release.
With the title ”Shakers & Tamborines“, these are the 1988 demos that got the band signed to Mercury Records in 1990. This Bad Reputation reissue includes a previously unreleased track, “Company Of Wolves”, the song that the band took its name from. Plus, there’s a completely new artwork, and you can order the CD signed by the band members.

While labeled as ‘demos’, in fact these 11 track were professionally recorded Acme Studios, Mamaroneck, NY, on multi-track console. The sound quality obtained with this 2024 remastering job is excellent.
Musically COMPANY OF WOLVES delivers quality bluesy American hard rock with diverse influences, from Aerosmith to Cinderella to Cheap Trick.
Only one song on ”Shakers & Tamborines” was later re-recorded, the rest are exclusive to this album. The major label self-titled CD they put out on Polygram / Mercury is very good, however many of the songs here kick ass too. The previously unreleased – titled as the band – “Company Of Wolves”, is pretty awesome.
