When a live album is done right, it’s more than just a setlist thrown onto a record – it’s an experience. It should make you feel the heat of the stage lights, the pulse of the crowd, and the sheer, unrelenting energy of a band at their peak. DIRTY HONEY’s ”Mayhem & Revelry Live” does exactly that.
This live album cements Dirty Honey’s place as the true torchbearers of classic rock ‘n’ roll in a modern age. The young LA-based quartet has built a reputation for reviving the swagger and grit of classic rock while keeping it fresh and dangerous.
After touring the world, including a stint opening for Guns N’ Roses, they’ve proven time and time again that they don’t just belong on the biggest stages – they own them. ”Mayhem & Revelry Live” is the ultimate proof.
With a setlist that hits hard and never lets up, as live albums go this is up there with the very best, it holds within the excitement and spontaneity that you get at the gig.

Since forming in Los Angeles in 2017 they have toured with some big hitters in KISS, Guns N’ Roses, The Black Crowes, Rival Sons, etc. Those support slots have helped them establish their stage show as they have learned from their masters. Their sound draws heavily on that of Aerosmith with more than a dash of AC/DC.

Having released two studio albums, the self-titled debut in 2021 and Can’t Find The Brakes in 2023, Dirty Honey’s subsequent electrifying rise from support act to headliners has been rapid and this live record shows exactly why.
It has an intensity that you cannot escape from. Dirty Honey has the attitude that translates from the stage and impacts on all those lucky enough to be in attendance. I cannot emphasise enough how everyone present is made to feel that they are at the greatest Rock N Roll party in town.

”Mayhem And Revelry” is aptly titled and proves all my points precisely. The opening number Won’t Take Me Alive sees singer Marc LaBelle address the crowd by stating, “I wanna see everyone in this fuckin’ house jumpin’”! From that point, we do exactly that!
Then comes California Dreamin’, and if you thought this was going to be a moment to catch your breath, think again. Live, this track hits even harder than the studio version, with Notto’s guitar tone practically setting the speakers on fire. Heartbreaker and Dirty Mind follow, both oozing with bluesy swagger and rock ‘n’ roll bite. Marc LaBelle’s voice sounds even more untamed in the live setting, his raspy, full-throttle delivery proving why he’s one of the best frontmen in modern rock.

By the time we hit Rolling 7’s, it’s clear that this is no ordinary live album – this is a masterclass in how rock music should feel. The song extends into a bluesy, slow-burning jam, with Notto absolutely shredding his way through the latter half. It’s a moment that would make Aerosmith and Zeppelin fans nod in approval. Tracks like Roam and The Wire inject a raw, garage-rock energy, while Don’t Put Out The Fire is an absolute showstopper, stretching beyond six minutes of bluesy, soulful fire.

Then, as if the album couldn’t get any better, we hit When I’m Gone. This is Dirty Honey’s defining song – the track that first put them on the map. Hearing it live, stretched out into a nearly eight-minute epic, is nothing short of exhilarating. The crowd roars in the background, and you can feel the weight of every lyric.
The album closes with You Make It All Right, a heartfelt, soaring anthem that leaves you wishing you were in the audience, hands in the air, singing along with every word. Dirty Honey isn’t just carrying the torch for rock ‘n’ roll—they’re swinging it like a wrecking ball.
”Mayhem & Revelry Live” is a testament to the fact that rock isn’t just alive; it’s thriving.

For longtime fans, this album is everything you could want – proof that Dirty Honey is just as good (if not better) live as they are in the studio. For newcomers, this is the perfect gateway into one of the best Rock bands of the modern era.
There’s no weak link in Dirty Honey. The chemistry between these four musicians is undeniable, and ”Mayhem & Revelry Live” captures it in full force. With a setlist this stacked, performances this tight, and energy this uncontainable, ”Mayhem & Revelry Live” is destined to be one of the great live rock albums. This is what rock ‘n’ roll is all about.
A live album that cements Dirty Honey’s place in rock history.
