It’s criminal that CHUCK W. CHAPMAN‘s music isn’t on the radio. Yeah, this is feel-good classic rock, and people need this. That’s perhaps why Chuck titled his new album “Outcast Among Outcasts“. But actually, he didn’t care about mainstream, but craft simple, contagious timeless rock&pop songs.
Classic rock fans discovered Chapman on Youtube, then there was an EP in 2021 that got him signed to Bentley Records, and the release of his full length debut LP next year.
2025 sees CHUCK W. CHAPMAN’s second CD ”Outcast Among Outcasts” being distributed by strong British independent record label Earache Records, and let’s hope his music finally reach more people… to enjoy his bright melodies.
”Outcast Among Outcasts” is pure 80s radio-ready rock n’ roll / power-pop, laced with the melodic hookiness that feeds your need to TURN IT UP! Nine tracks, plus a spooky intro, songs like Alice Cooper meets Tom Petty meets The Cars.
With proper airplay, “The Devil You Know” could be a massive hit… no doubts. Both “Bring You Down” & “The Girl In The Front Row” are hand-spoonin’ the Power Pop, as well. The love ballad duet, entitled “Dead End”, with founding member of THE RUNAWAYS, Cherie Currie gives Kid Rock’s “Picture” a run for its money… all the emotional guitar licks here are by another special Guest, Al Harlow, a founding member of the legendary Canadian band, PRISM.
As on Chuck’s debut LP, guest Kevin Stuart Swain is again here gun slinging and neck-walking those custom guitars of his like a Samurai Salad Chef. Also Jimmy Stiff (JACKYL) drop some rocking guitar solos.
A fun, organic rock n’ roll record, as it used to be in the good ‘ol times – short songs to put a smile on your face.
