GABRIELLE de VAL began to get involved in the Melodic Rock scene in Madrid, and in 2011 released the first full album with her band, The Val, distributed and supported by important media such as Classic Rock and Fireworks Magazine. With The Val, Gabrielle recorded 3 LP’s, until her solo debut ‘Kiss in a Dragon Night’, featuring stellar guests such as Steve Overland (FM), Robin McAuley (Michael Schenker Band), Gary Pihl (Boston), Eric Ragno (Joe Lynn Turner), and many more.
Gabrielle began working on a new album. Tommy Denander took on the role of producer / musician, leading the creation of ‘I Am The Hammer’, Gabrielle’s upcoming effort out via Pride & Joy Music. Mastered by Harry Hess in Canada, the 13-track CD is powerful collection of driving melodic rock with uptempo AOR.
You can hear Denander’s touch all over – production, but especially the complete guitar work – and de VAL’s vocals are colorful, varied, subtle at places, soaring at others.
