Following the signing with Frontiers Music, Swedes INSANIA started to bring again back to the metalheads around the globe their power attack revitalized with the addition of the singer extraordinaire Ola Halén. Not 2025 it’s time for new album “The Great Apocalypse“.
New to INSANIA? Think late ’90s Helloween, catchy, commercial, and pretty epic. ”The Trinity” kicks off the new album with fast-paced rhythms and a touch of drama. Halén’s voice boasts a deep vocal range that perfectly meshes with Mikko Korsbäck’s thunderous drums, Niklas Dahlin’s explosive guitars, and Erik Arkö’s heavy bass. Despite the speed, there’s a sweetness to it, like a fairytale.
Next up is “Indestructible”, theatrical, passionate and absolutely dynamically melodic. With “No One’s Hero,” the band paints on a dark canvas using a palette of murky colors. The melody approaches boldly, while the vocals draw you into the whirlwind.
“Afterlife” comes in fast, with a heavier dose of epic metal. The drums howl as if they’re urging us to act before it’s too late. They scream “Take action!” and demand we pull back the curtain to see how we’ve squandered the greatness we’ve been given.

If now isn’t the time for a “Revolution,” then honestly, I don’t know when is. We see so much around us, we feel so much. It’s time to leave behind everything that divides us and come together as a global brotherhood to reclaim what’s been taken from us, let the planet breathe, become better, and kick those selfish leaders off their thrones.
Next stop is “The Prophesier,” bursting with brilliant power openings and melodies that stick in your head uniquely. The theatrical vibe returns in “Fire From Above” with its urgent, hard-hitting sounds and operatic flair. It’s a beautiful listen that fans of the genre will love.

“Underneath The Eye” is majestic and packed with energy. Mikko doesn’t hold back on the drums; it’s chaos everywhere, with Niklas’s playful guitar work, wicked riffs, and the bass pumped up to the max, while the vocals tease you, sometimes melodic and other times reaching for the infinite.
The album wraps up with the fifteen-minute epic “The Great Apocalypse (When Hell Is All Around),” summarizing humanity’s journey. It’s a finale that will leave a lasting impression for this new album.
