Following the untimely passing of singer’s Kimmo Blom in August 2022, Finland’s LEVERAGE future seemed uncertain. However, after some months of hiatus, founding member and main songwriter Tuomas Heikkinen, decided it was time to give the band another shot of life. The result of this process of rebuilding saw the outstanding singer Paolo Ribaldini (Delain) and violinist Lotta-Maria Heiskanen joining with the precise task to renew and refresh the sound of the band.
The resulting album “Gravity”, which is the band’s sixth full-length album in slightly less than 20 years, aptly showcases contemporary heavy rock sound, which takes influence from the golden past while still offering their own unique personality.
Plenty of ear-catching melodies skillfully delivered with pristine production, “Gravity”, out via Frontiers Music next Friday, is one of LEVERAGE’s best albums to date.
