There’s a new all-female metal act from Brazil waiting to kick you in the teeth: MALVADA are ready to take over the world. Formed in March 2020 during the pandemic, this all female 4-piece is a rock n’ roll act with a contemporary personality, in the vein of acts like The Warning or Halestorm.
Malvada’s indie debut album distributed throughout Brazil has been played on several radio stations in the country and brought the band to perform more than a hundred shows, also performing at huge festivals such as Rock in Rio, Best of Blues and Rock, Angra Fest and Chama Rock, sharing the stage with renowned national and international rock names.
In 2023, with the addiction of the new vocalist Indira Castillo and Rafaela Reoli on bass, together with the former members Bruna Tsuruda on Guitars and Juliana Salgado Drums, the band caught the attention of Italian label Frontiers Records.
MALVADA’s self-titled international debut CD, produced by Grammy awarded Giu Daga, delivers a powerful and exciting rock no roll musical experience, modern, heavy yet radio-friendly all over.
