QUEEN – Riffs (2025) *Exclusive*

UMG Recordings started the release of QUEEN‘s thematic series compilations, grouping songs in the same musical style from the band’s 3-decade career catalog. Especially compiled and overseen by Brian May & Roger Taylor, here’s the just released titled “RIFFS” volume.
“Sometimes you get a little riff, and you just put some words with it…” said Brian May, as most the songs selected here born from his guitar, like the killer ‘Hammer To Fall’, ‘Tie Your Mother Down’, ‘Sweet Lady’, ‘Now I’m Here’, or ‘Keep Yourself Alive’, featured here in its recent 2024 Mix, more guitar driven. And exception on “RIFFS” should be the fun ‘I’m In Love With My Car’, which born when Roger Taylor was practicing guitar.
A rocking, riff-driven selection, all remastered.

I don’t know who this would appeal to. No hits for casual fans–and bigger fans would have all these on the regular lps. For completists only. Milk that catalogue guys.
Agree with you. However… it’s the 2nd most downloaded album this month.
Interesting. I could see if they were remixed. That’s really surprising. In any case, appreciate what you do here.
Definitely not remixed. These are the 2011 remasters.
