While this is his first solo outing, Scott Christides is a veteran from the Detroit rock music scene, with almost four decades of experience. Currently Scott is the guitarist for classic rockers Ballz Deluxe, but he started in the early Eighties recording an album for Elektra Records in 1982 as lead singer of The Heart Throbs. The Heart Throbs gained significant recognition, touring alongside iconic acts such as The Romantics, Ramones, Stray Cats, Eurythmics, Joan Jett, Modern English, and The Tubes.
Later as founding member and guitarist of Skeleton Crew, Scott marked another milestone in his career, releasing an album under major label Intersound Records. This dynamic band had the privilege of opening for numerous national acts, including Eddie Money, Foreigner, Kenny Loggins, Tesla.
“Scott Christy” is an indie release, but expect a pristine production & mix as Christy not only play almost all instruments – he’s a skilled dude into the studio as well. Musically this is a lovely collection of timeless classic rock / rock&pop tunes boastful of melodic rock catchiness. Just push play on a song like ‘Perfect World’ and then tell me if it doesn’t feels like coming from the Adams / Vallance factory.
Eleven songs at 40 minutes – just the way it used to be in the good old times – benefits “Scott Christy” for its easy-listening, highly enjoyable melody galore.
