There isn’t much info about studio project UFORIA, however AORBlvd Records is releasing its debut album titled “Stages In Time“. Seems this is a UK based home studio recording, and as you may suspect coming from AORBlvd, we are dealing with an ’80s AOR-style inspired collection of songs.
UFORIA also adds a lot of melodic guitar all over the songs, never ‘heavy’ – just guitar driven, and the keyboards are not used in the ‘pomp / synth way’, but more classic, mostly piano fills. Additionally, there’s some kind of a Whitesnake feeling, the more midtempo, atmospheric songs from the band circa 1987. Add too a Swedish feeling, similar to Tommy Denander’s Radioactive.
In these modern times you never know if there isn’t some AI involved, but AORBlvd Records chairman Paul Rudland has never released a bad album, and UFORIA’s “Stages In Time” is a more than interesting collection of songs in the classy AOR / Melodic Rock template.
Be aware there’s a not finished UFORIA collection of songs floating the internet, this is the complete album.
