A.C.T – Eternal Winter (2025) *HQ*

“Eternal Winter” is the title of the new album by awesome Swedish progressive rockers A.C.T, scheduled for release on August 8, 2025. The album is the band’s fourth and final release in a series, concluding their seasonal-themed quartet.
After the short intro we get ‘The Family’ which resume those typical A.C.T musical elements collected in one track. Resume is just a word, as this band always surprises you. The song has progressive riffs, poppy melodies and smooth vocals.
More rocking is ‘A New Beginning’, still very melodic with all three voices – A.C.T packs 3 lead singers – creating nice harmonies, and there’s huge guitar solo.”When Snow Was Magic” has an almost Queen ’70s vibe, but the slower, calmer side, still proggy and feel-good.
‘Waiting for the Sun’ is another example of A.C.T’s mastery in making elaborated arrangements sound so catchy and easy to the ears. The rhythm section and keys are pure ’80s proggy-pop, however, there’s a lot going on with this song.
