SCOTT FREE – Breaking Loose (2025) HQ *Exclusive*

Two years ago SCOTT FREE surprised us coming from nowhere with a delicious retro-AOR album. As we wrote in our review, we didn’t know too much about SCOTT FREE, no website, no bio… well now 2025 and SCOTT FREE himself contact us announcing the release of his new album titled ”Breaking Loose”, featured in exclusive here at 0dayrox.
If Scott’s debut album ‘Right Before Your Eyes’ was a wonderful trip back to the mid-80s, just wait to hear ”Breaking Loose”. Everything has been perfected, and while this is a home-made album… who cares? The charm of these Eighties private AOR releases is all over this CD. Yes, now Scott Free has a contact page and is selling the album on physical format for all collectors out there. Support Scott purchasing the CD following the links below.

Musically? Oh dude, mid-Eighties American AOR with fluffy keyboards and dreamy choruses are the name of the game throughout ”Breaking Loose”. From Survivor, White Sister, Loverboy to David Roberts, John Parr or Stan Bush, Scott spreads some gold dust all over 12 wonderful tracks.
It’s hard to pick a favorite – if you love the genre and that particular period from 1982 to 1986 – simply can’t resist to numbers like ‘Destiny’, ‘Nothing Short Of A Miracle’, ‘Born To Win’, ‘Everything’… no duds here, no experimentation – just classy AOR of the highest order!

Just wanted to thank you guys from the bottom of my heart for providing a review of my new album ‘Breaking Loose’. As I let you know, your blog has been a major part of my musical life for many years, and you’ve brought attention to lots of excellent AOR/melodic rock albums that, but for you, would otherwise have passed me by. Add to that all your exclusives and bonus tracks that you add to existing releases, it’s just amazing. You’re always my AOR go-to bible. As you can tell, I’m a BIG fan of 0dayrox, and this review of my new album ‘Breaking Loose’, which again is very complimentary, and I thank you very much for that, will enjoy pride of place, framed, next to your review of my ‘Right Before Your Eyes’, on my studio wall.
Thank you, all your work here is very much appreciated by so many, including me!!
