The fine English label AOR Blvd. is known, among other things, for digging up obscure and extremely rare / unreleased albums from the heyday of AOR & Melodic Aock. ARRIVAL from the USA are no exception with their tape from 1990.
This Texas-based ARRIVAL formed in the ’80s by Tilman Walker (vocals) and keyboardist Jason Xenos, and consolidated as a five-piece, but disbanded without releasing an official album. This compilation CD “The Works” put together by AOR BLVD Records features the rare recording “Arrival” originally distributed by the band themselves on cassette in 1990, and other rare recordings from that era.
Described as an early Bon Jovi style, this is an interesting release for melodic hard rock enthusiasts and collectors. Arrival showcase ability to craft catchy songs with hooks and cool harmonies.
A truly remarkable find by AOR BLVD, remastered by David Drapper. Definitely a collector’s item, limited to 500 copies.
