The opening riff of ”We Own the Night” doesn’t just grab you; it thrusts you into a world where the echoes of metal / hard rock golden age collide with the very cream of the present. The upcoming album from Massachusetts rockers ALL SINNERS feels like a torch passed between generations: forged in the molten heart of ’80s hard rock but sharpened by modern grit.
Track #1 ‘Embers Rising’ sets the tone for the album without revealing everything; it’s only a small taste of what’s to come, leaving us hungry for more. The minute-long instrumental, driven by pounding drums and surging guitar work, feels like the spark before the inferno—an atmospheric prelude that hints at the chaos to come before fading into smoke.
That tension explodes open with the second track, ‘Into the Flames’, a full-throttle throwback to the glory days of ’80s U.S. melodic metal. It’s a headbanger’s dream, stacked with galloping riffs, melodic firepower, and a soaring vocal performance that flexes range and control in equal measure. We’re also then treated with an absolute shredder of a guitar solo that seals the track as both a tribute to classic metal and a statement that All Sinners are blazing their own path forward.

As ”We Own the Night” unfolds, All Sinners prove they’re not content simply echoing the past; they’re reshaping it into something uniquely their own. The album moves fluidly between high-octane anthems and darker, moodier explorations, offering a journey through light and shadow.
Tracks like ‘The Wave’, and main title ‘We Own the Night’ capture that duality perfectly, combining commanding riffs and intricate percussion with lyrics that wrestle with humanity’s flaws and resilience. There’s a real weight to the songwriting here, where melody and muscle coexist, giving the record both emotional pull and raw power.

The band’s roots in heavier classic metal are unmistakable. You can feel the spirit of Black Sabbath in the slower, doom-tinged passages—thick, chugging guitar tones and a sense of foreboding that’s balanced by melodic restraint. But where Sabbath dealt in shadow, All Sinners light a fire beneath it.
The slick production and anthemic vocal hooks give these songs the soaring energy of the ’80s hard rock era, recalling the precision and power of bands like Dio, Skid Row, and Judas Priest, without ever crossing into imitation. Their sound sits right at that sweet spot where heavy metal’s grit meets hard rock’s grandiosity with guitar solos that wail, choruses that stick, and rhythm sections that hit like a hammer.

When the band slows the pace, as on ‘Lead Me Into Darkness’ or ‘So Evil’, the mood turns introspective and atmospheric, steeped in Gothic melody and emotional weight. These moments reveal All Sinners’ willingness to push beyond straight-ahead hard rock into something more textured and cinematic.
The closing track, ‘The Reason’, strips everything back to its emotional core, gentle guitars and aching vocals fading into silence, leaving a lingering sense of catharsis.

By the time the final note fades, ”We Own the Night” feels less like a simple collection of songs and more like a full-bodied narrative of struggle, faith, and defiance. It’s an album that captures the heart of classic metal while pulsing with a modern spirit.
