Now here’s in exclusive at 0dayrox the just released “Unchain the Demos Vol. II“, a well done bootleg CD compilation of hard-to-find unreleased tracks by DOKKEN.
We already featured here ‘Vol. I’ focused in the early years of the band, “Unchain the Demos Vol. II” cover from 1984 onwards. There’s a rare spanish guitar take on ‘Into the Fire’, a great sounding proto version of ‘Dream Warriors’ from the 1986-87 demos, then the quite rare Jeff Pilson own demos of Dokken songs.
We find also the sessions of Don Dokken with Glenn Hughes, songs composed and recorded in the late ’80a when Dokken (the band) were splitting up, and Phenomena were going nowhere else. Hughes had already been working with John Norum when Norum’s involvement with the Don Dokken solo project began, so Glenn became involved tangentially in some of the early songwriting and demo work.

Also, demos from the Nineties, from the ‘Dysfunctional’ album, including the early version of the Japanese edition bonus track, not the final version with George Lynch, but a recording done with Kevin Burns on guitars for a Japanese radio show. Take notice that the song is introduced as “If The Good Die Young”, while in the “Dysfunctional” Japan CD it the definitive recording was renamed “When The Good Die Young”.
There’s 18 tracks in this “Unchain the Demos Vol. II” CD, a collectible.
