Original KISS drummer PETER CRISS is releasing his long-awaited new solo album “Peter Criss“. And this is a 0dayrox world-premiere.
The record was co-produced the 79-year-old musician alongside Barry Pointer, who has worked with Ozzy Osbourne, John 5, Motley Crue, Steve Stevens, and Dolly Parton. Joining the legendary ex- KISS musician on the LP are Billy Sheehan and Matthew Montgomery (a.k.a. Piggy D.) on bass, John 5 and Mike McLaughlin on guitar, and Paul Shaffer on piano. The record also features the talents of backing vocalists Dennis & Sharon Collins, and Cat Manning of CAT 5.
”Peter Criss” represents the Catman’s studio return after almost two decades – his last released solo album is 2007’s ‘One for All’. A decade later, he officially retired from touring.

Song-wise the album revolves around classic rock with CrissCat in fine form, and the help of the awesome musicians really add a plus. On the hard rocker ‘Justice’, as example, John 5 shines on guitar. ‘Cheaper To Keep Her’ is another favorite, muscular and rocking. The twangy ‘Rubberneckin’’ is easily forgettable, however ‘Hard Rock Knockers’ will delight ’70s KISS / Cat fans.
The album is being released December 19, a day before Peter Criss’ 80th birthday. Criss is a legend. Criss is a millionaire. He didn’t needed to release a new album for the money. Hence, there isn’t artistic compromise – he does what he wants with the music on “Peter Criss”.
