The self-titled debut album by Canadian ROBERT LOUDEN was one of the much sought after CD’s by AOR fans during the ’90s and 2000s. Self-released in Canada only in 1996, and released by a small label in Europe, copies were limited and sold out soon, until in 2008 YesterRock did a remastered reissue including bonus tracks.
Songwriter, singer and keyboardist, ROBERT LOUDEN did a lot of session, songwriting and studio-work, and formed his own band for the recording of his sole album “Robert Louden“, released by himself. Several years in the making, Louden paid attention to every detail to create a first rate AOR / Melodic Rock album in the best, pristine Canadian tradition.

Sonically very late ’80s in the vein of Stan Meissner, Richard Marx and Michael Thompson Band, songs like Take Me All The Way, Dusk ‘Til Dawn, Paradise For Two, and Angel are fan’s from the genre pure delight. While some cuts add a pop-rock sensibility, Louden avoid common places and create articulated arrangements, cool hooks and dreamy atmospheres.
The added bonus tracks are in the same level of quality, and this remastering (done by Louden himself) sounds great.
