Yesterday we featured ‘Good Time Music’, the only album by U.S. rockers SLYBOYZ, apperared on CD. Remember, musically this band was not sleaze, but pure late ’80s American Melodic Rock. However, the CD included only some songs the band had recorded between its existence 1989 – 1991.
Here we have in exclusive a bootleg CD titled “SLYBOYZ – The Rest Of The Story… [The 1989-1994 Works]” including all the rest of the songs from the band not included into ‘Good Time Music’, plus 2 never released.
There’s the complete very first 5-tracker 1989’s “Slyboyz”, 1994’s “Fan Club Extra”, and the “Acoustic 1994” EP. Additionally, 2 live tracks, including the ‘rock / electric version’ of the song ‘Good Time Music’, originally recorded in the studio acoustically only.
Rich in harmony vocals – there’s 2 lead vocalists and all members contribute backing – hooks galore and impressive power ballads, SLYBOYZ’s sound & style is like a mix of Warrant, Nelson, Danger Danger, etc. And their songs are as good as anything the aforementioned acts released. Additionally, one of the lead singers has a vocal color very similar to the late Jani Lane.
