MEGADETH – Megadeth (2026) → **HQ**

320_1 /// 320_2 /// HQ 1 /// HQ 2
Metal legends MEGADETH will release their final, self-titled album, next January 23, 2026, via Dave Mustaine’s Tradecraft imprint in partnership with Frontiers Label Group’s new BLKIIBLK label.
“There’s so many musicians that have come to the end of their career, whether accidental or intentional,” Dave Mustaine says. “Most of them don’t get to go out on their own terms on top, and that’s where I’m at in my life right now. I have traveled the world and have made millions upon millions of fans and the hardest part of all of this is saying goodbye to them. We can’t wait for you to hear this album and see us on tour. If there was ever a perfect time for us to put out a new album, it’s now.”
“Megadeth” was produced Dave Mustaine and Chris Rakestraw, and it will be Megadeth’s only album with guitarist Teemu Mäntysaari (who is a superb player btw), and their first since 2009’s Endgame to feature bassist James LoMenzo.
Megadeth are going out on a high with a killer final album, one that skilfully captures their leader’s blazing inner fire, just as it is extinguished by his own, masterful hand. What a way to go.

hello.
On turbobit link is posted wrong archive. Not Megadeth.
Fixed. Thanks for reporting.
I had hoped for more thrash than this midtempo collection of contemporary melodic songs. A final fist to the face would have been glorious. Instead Dave chose the old “This will sell” -approach that hasn’t been a working formula in ages. This is a missed opportunity to kick everybody’s ass. Two points out of ten and both points go to Mäntysaari who is the star of the show. Sadly, Dave couldn’t write another “My last words” if he tried. The mojo is gone.
