Metal legends MEGADETH just released their final, self-titled album, via Dave Mustaine’s Tradecraft imprint in partnership with Frontiers Label Group’s new BLKIIBLK label.
They made an arrangement with Tatget.com for the release of the album with an exclusive bonus track: the original track ‘Bloodlust‘ (written by Dave Mustaine, Teemu Mäntysaari and Mary Clement), alongside the fresh, killer version of ‘Ride The Lightning’.
But there’s more: To celebrate the release week of Megadeth’s new album, they have made available a Special Expanded Digital Edition of the album including the exclusive track ‘Nobody’s Hero‘, available at their website until 11:59 PM on Thursday, January 29. This version features the ‘Exclusive X-Ray cover artwork’, and it’s delivered via email upon purchase.

“‘Nobody’s Hero’ was the first song we worked on during the session, which is funny because it didn’t end up on the album. Everything we’d written up to that point had to fight for a place on the record. Some riffs were replaced by better ones. Some songs never quite got finished, and others rose to the top.

“Megadeth” was produced Dave Mustaine and Chris Rakestraw, and it will be Megadeth’s only album with guitarist Teemu Mäntysaari (who is a superb player btw), and their first since 2009’s Endgame to feature bassist James LoMenzo.

Megadeth are going out on a high with a killer final album, one that skilfully captures their leader’s blazing inner fire, just as it is extinguished by his own, masterful hand. What a way to go.
