SAXON – Westwood One In Concert (Glasgow, 1984) vinyl-rip *Exclusive*

We have been featuring SAXON albums and here one you will love for sure: ‘Westwood One In Concert (Glasgow, 1984)‘. Captured in Glasgow, 11th February 1984, and as they did it in the era, pressed on vinyl for a Westwood One radio broadcast – there were a few LP’s made only, not for sale.
This is the complete show as aired, including commercials (there’s a great one featuring Ronnie James Dio singing an ad single) and the announcer. Sound quality is great! And we can hear SAXON at its NWoBHM preak.
The show was part of SAXON 1984 tour in support of their album “Crusader,” which was released the same year. The tour consisted of performances in various locations across Europe and North America – both the album and the tour were very important milestones in SAXON’s career, contributing to their popularity in the heavy metal scene.
We hear the title track ‘Crusader’, but also classics ‘Power And The Glory’, ‘Princess Of The Night’, ‘Strong Arm Of The Law’, etc.
A killer SAXON set and a piece of metal history!
