Ahhh a really nice request this very fine piece of ’80s underground melodic metal: ALIEN FORCE 1986’s album “Pain And Pleasure“, in its remastered reissue by Karthago Records including as bonus tracks previously unreleased demo versions for a third album (that never was) recorded in 1988.

The 5-piece Danish band were formed in Copenhagen in 1984 and their style is traditional melodic heavy metal with hard rock and glam metal elements. “Pain And Pleasure” is their second album and it’s heavier than the previous.
Musically these guys were Judas Priest at their British Steel circa 1980, some Accept, early Pretty Maids, Mad Max, Picture, etc… all the elements we love from the genre are here: a proper metal vocalist, razor guitar riffs, fat bass, smashing drumming and stratospheric solos.

Oh, and that special, indie production, unpolluted, imperfect but absolutely enjoyable. We love ’80s Scandi Metal, and “Pain And Pleasure” is a cult classic. And the bonus tracks are good too! (love ‘Fool For The Night’).
ALIEN FORCE did a comeback album a few years ago, and still perform locally.
