Brazil’s own Melodic Hard Rock warriors, DESERTA, are ready to crank the volume with the release of their full-length album, ”Hard Times Ahead”, out February 27th, 2026 on Lions Pride Music. Following their very good 2023 debut with the label, “Don’t Dare Stop”, the band raises the stakes with bigger hooks, heavier riffs, and unstoppable energy.
The band proves that the 1987 Bon Jovi, Warrant, Great White, Danger Danger, et all sound & style is alive and kickin’ 2026, and the party isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Packed with soaring anthems, ripping guitar riffs, and hooks that stick to your bones, ‘Hard Times Ahead‘ captures everything fans love about the genre. Production is lively, crisp, and musicianship second to none!
Every track was written by frontman Uly Dolph (a guy with Ted Poley awesome vibe), arranged by the band, and executed with the kind of raw passion and 80s-inspired energy that makes Deserta a must-listen act.
‘I Came For Love’ isn’t a ballad folks, but an infectious melodic hard rocker to die for, something Danger Danger would put out if still active. Killer tune.’Don’t Let Me Forget’ so catchy, ‘She’s the Owner’ is the kind of ‘New Jersey’ song Bon Jovi never wrote, while Johnny Lima-style appears for ‘Ahead Of My Time’.
There’s not a weak song on this this 10-tracker… we can’t recommend DESERTA’s ”Hard Times Ahead” enough – if you like 1986-1989 American melodic/hard as it should be done, you’re in you’re in for a treat here!
