“Mach 2” is the title of the upcoming new album by LOST WINGMAN, featured in exclusive at 0dayrox. This 4-piece melodic hard rock act from Spain is formed by experienced musicians, including solvent vocalist Chema Sales (Bon Jovi cover band, Gloria Estefan band), bass player Daniel Fernández (Dark Moor), Daniel Pereira on guitar (Warrior Poet, Motropolis VI), and drummer Javier Martin (Warrior Poet).
With ’80s influences from Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Hardline, etc, musically the album consists of rockers, midtempo melodic tunes and a ballad, all very well written, performed & produced. Sales’ English is excellent, no accent in sight, and he’s capable of a full-on rocking delivery to raspy smoothness when needed.
Opener ‘Stranger’ is a highlight, a melodic rocker with classic songwriting however what impresses is the modern, dynamic production sound in the current Scandinavian style for the genre. But the American feel also appear on their music – just check out the delicious ‘Lonely’ with its pure Nelson 1989 harmonies.
‘Run Away Hide Away’ is a driving modern rocker, then LOST WINGMAN jumps into the midtempo AOR ‘The Air I Need to Breathe’ akin Eighties Strangeways… love it!

And more variation keep coming with the pretty heavy ‘Fade to Grey’, the bright ballad ‘Shine’ (including acoustics), the catchy as hell ‘Junkie’, the declaration of principles ‘Fuck A.I.’, or the fully acoustic ‘If Only’ not just ‘stripped’ bit with ‘huge acoustics’, an grand closer, and one of the best songs we heard this year.

We can’t recommend LOST WINGMAN’s “Mach 2”, a varied yet cohesive melodic hard rock record, far from cookie-cutter songwriting or performances.
You’ll be surprised by LOST WINGMAN.
