As requested, here’s PATTY SMYTH second solo album, 1992’s self-titled “Patty Smyth”. The album is long time out of print in the U.S., but seems this 2019 CD reissue by Music On CD is out of print too.
Patty Smyth rose to fame as a powerful passionate vocalist fronting the band Scandal with mid-80s hits like ‘Goodbye To You’ and ‘The Warrior’. Following the end of Scandal, Smyth was invited by her friend Eddie Van Halen to join the band Van Halen to replace David Lee Roth as lead singer. She declined the offer and started a solo career releasing her 1987 debut album ‘Never Enough’ on Columbia Records.

Smyth continued working as songwriter, arranger, session voice, and put out her second solo effort in 1992, the eponymous Patty Smyth album, this time on MCA Records.
The certified gold album features additional U.S. Top 40 hits ‘No Mistakes’, ‘I Should Be Laughing’ and the also certified gold hit single ‘Sometimes Love Ain’t Just Enough’, a duet with The Eagles’ Don Henley.

With half of the songs co-written with talented Glen Burtnik and one by Jesse Harms (Eddie Money, REO Speedwagon, Bad English) you can’t go wrong here if you love early Nineties polished female Rock&pop. Add to that top-tier session musicians such as Tim Pierce on guitars and Kenny Aronoff on drums.
