FnA Records has unearthed yet another lost LP from the late ’80s, reissuing, remastering melodic rockers PIPE DREAMS 1988’s self-titled debut album ”Pipe Dreams”, including 2 bonus tracks. Originally released on vinyl and cassette via an indie record label, this remastered reissue features 2 tracks recorded live during the album’s release party back in 1988, one of them a non album track, previously unreleased.
Pipe Dreams was a local favorite on the Long Island, New York rock scene. Two years after their origins (and with a few band member changes), Pipe Dreams started work on their very first album. Lots of practice, numerous gigs and writing new songs solidified Pipe Dreams as a band that was headed straight to the top of their game.
The album shows a band that took their craft and sound to serious levels of professionalism. The production on this release is top-notch for an indie and the recording of the tracks were given serious thought and consideration, properly mixed, mastered and packaged.

On April 30th, 1988, Pipe Dreams released their album and celebrated with a show at February’s in Elmont, New York. While the self-titled debut album contained only 9 songs, this 2026 release has been updated with 2 live tracks from their record release party.
Pipe Dreams had a great following of die-hard fans that still proudly remember the gigs and the vinyl/cassette only release to this very day. In fact, there is quite a buzz surrounding the re-release of this project.

Presented here for the very first time on CD, this is the band’s first album “Pipe Dreams” in its entirety, exactly as it was presented on vinyl and cassette back in 1988. As well, two bonus “live” tracks are included, performed live on the same night the album was released.

“Reliving this album 38 years after its release date has brought back some serious memories and feelings of the good ‘ol days and a time in my life that I am very proud of”, states guitarist Joe Chinnici.
The self-titled 11 track album is now being re-released almost four decades after its initial release. The artwork has stayed true to the original vinyl art; and as mentioned above, the sound is impeccable for an analog recording from 1988.
