SATCHVAI, the awesome super-group formed by guitarists Joe Satriani and Steve Vai, also including drummer Kenny Aronoff, bassist Marco Mendoza, and guitarist Pete Thorn, are releasing their fist EP titled “Dancing“, featured in exclusive at 0dayrox.
Joe & Steve completed the ‘Surfing with the Hydra Tour’ across Europe as SATCHVAI Band, marking their first permanent band collaboration beyond their long-term friendship and occasional co-bill performances.
Now thay are preparing the North American leg of the tour starting in April, and are releasing the “Dancing” EP.

The title track is a surprisingly Santana-esque song, a welcomed orientation and we never heard Joe & Steve in this style. But the killer stuff arrives with the high-octane rocker “I Wanna Play My Guitar” featuring Glenn Hughes on lead vocals… woooow.
Then, the sweeping instrumental “The Sea of Emotion, Pt. 1” is to die for, with Joe & Steve delivering a jaw-dropping counterpoint – truly late 80s / early ’90s inspired – and with terrific Aronoff / Mendoza rhythm section.

Together, these songs highlight both the emotional depth and electrifying energy that define the SATCHVAI sound – a seamless fusion of melody, virtuosity, and the rare musical chemistry born from five decades of friendship between Joe Satriani and Steve Vai.
