The best thing with the Sony Music ‘Playlist: The Very Best Of‘ series is not only to have the best songs from each artist into one single disc, but also the chance to have the only remastered versions of these songs.
In the case of “SCANDAL – Playlist: The Very Best of Scandal” the great deal is the inclusion of 4 Non-Album Tracks / Previously Unreleased songs only available into this CD (now out of print).
Indeed, in “Playlist: The Very Best of Scandal” we find the best songs from their album ‘Warrior’, and the complete first 5-track EP ‘Scandal’ – all these are available in remastered form on the Rock Candy Records reissue CD (featured at 0dayrox).

However… “SCANDAL – Playlist: The Very Best of Scandal” include songs recorded in 1982 during the ‘Scandal EP’ sessions (there was a young dude called Jon Bon Jovi providing backing vocals) but never released. The recoding & production are in the same high quality, finished songs, but not used as the Columbia Records contract specified a mini-LP / EP > maximum 5 tracks.
And these ‘outtakes’ are not sub-par songs… in fact, some are better than the ones finally selected for the EP!
