SONS OF ETERNITY – Human Beast (2026) *HQ*

320_1 /// 320_2 /// HQ 1 /// HQ 2
A German quintet consisting of musicians with various experience in a variety of other heavy music outfits, SONS OF ETERNITY are presenting their sophomore album “Human Beast“.
And this is ”beast” indeed! With a style bringing to mind current century Pretty Maid / House Of Lords sound, edgier at places but with the same melodies and top notch powerful production, SONS OF ETERNITY is a killer band. Lyrically tackling 21st century global and personal matters across civilization, the songs take similar anthem-like tactics musically to cement the ideas deep into the consumers.
The guitar tones from Matthias ‘Church’ Kirchgessner and Jonas Roßner (ex- Beyond The Black) possess a modern crunchy heaviness that provides depth to the main heavy / power riffs on display. A classic Teutonic / European edge to the way certain songs unfold is evident – the exotic touches or stair step chord progression adds extra heightened tension or anticipation to the bigger payoff chorus for “Forever”.
Singer Matthias ‘Schenky’ Schenk has traits that contain airy, multi-octave qualities which traverse many of the best in the hard rock / metal business – his personal inflections like that of a cleaner Bernhard Weiß from Axxis while executing addictive harmonies on a highlight such as “The Line”. On other songs, he has some ’80s Klaus Meine to his phrasing.
As the record unfolds more chances are taken – expansive guitar play with bluesy, shred-oriented overtones makes “Sons of Eternity” another standout, while softer, dramatic strains come through on the awesome metal ballad ”When Fantasy Dies”.
Perhaps due the band is from Germany and their sound is VERY German, “Tearing Down the Walls” somehow recalls Scorpions. Heavier, but pretty Klaus Meine if you listen to the vocals.
Closer “Abyss of Life” is one of the heaviest tracks on the album, dark and groovy, however the chours is catchy, akin Axel Rudi Pell of the past.
SONS OF ETERNITY’s “Human Beast” is a darn awesome hard n’ heavy album, with strong varied songs, great musicianship and stupendous production design. They can’t go wrong with expert Sascha Paeth (Kamelot, Avantasia) mixing the final product.
SONS OF ETERNITY is a band in the need of major exposure, hope this new album gets bigger promotion, as we are sure this huge new album will gain tons of new fans for the band.
