After 35+ years as member of metallers ANNIHILATOR and 17 studio records, founder and guitarist JEFF WATERS finally found the time for his solo record. The vehicle is his side band AMERIKAN KAOS, and the initial project atarted in 2024 included 3 albums. We already featured the first (”Armageddon Boogie”, 2024), 2nd installment “All That Jive”, and now it’s time for the final part of the trilogy titled ”The Sheeple Swing” in 2026, with each album showcasing a unique facet of his ever-evolving musical vision.
This ambitious plan stemmed from his desire to write across multiple genres without being confined to a single style. ”The Sheeple Swing” features a faster, more direct “live” feel, continuing to blend rock, punk, blues, and metal with thematic dives into society and personal experiences.
For this new album we find the singer of the previous; Stu Block, who worked with Jeff & Annihilator in the past. However, he shows other colors of his voice, rawer perhaps. The great Bob Katsionis is on anything else that he could use his fingers on that sounded keyboardish.

A notable guest appearance comes from Alissa White-Gluz (Arch Enemy), who contributes to one of the album’s mid-section tracks.
Waters’ guitar tone and technique are unmistakable, combining his trademark precision with a slightly more groove-oriented approach than his main band. But AMERIKAN KAOS allows him greater lyrical freedom, and The Sheeple Swing uses that space aggressively.
Lyrically is a heavily charged record that finds Waters taking aim at media manipulation, tribalism, and what he calls “the commodification of outrage.”

ANNIHILATOR, meanwhile, remain active with their own touring and recording schedule. Waters has maintained a remarkably consistent output across both projects, and the AMERIKAN KAOS albums serve as a pressure valve for ideas and themes that sit slightly outside ANNIHILATOR’s territory.
”The Sheeple Swing” runs 10 tracks and clocks in at approximately 47 minutes.
If you have followed the trilogy from the beginning, the progression is clear. Armageddon Boogie in 2024 introduced the concept. All That Jive in 2025 expanded the hard rock side. Now, The Sheeple Swing closes the story with a sharper and more direct edge.
