Australian classic ’80s hard rockers CATALANO consisting of Roxxi Catalano on lead vocals, Jackson Van Den Bosch on bass, Arthur Cassin on drums and Danny Ritz on guitar are ready to release their new studio album, ”Perfect Storm”, on May 1, 2026.
Roxxi, former DE LA CRUZ vocalist, formed his own outfit to praise his love for traditional glam metal / melodic hard rock. He said: ”I’m not trying to re-invent the fucking wheel here ya know? I like writing ’80s music, and if like-minded people get something out of it then I’m happy. That’s the funny thing.”
And yeah, CATALANO isn’t re-inventing the wheel, but darn, they do an amazing spin on it! “Perfect Storm” is indeed close to ‘melodic rock perfection’, and it’s ‘storming’ too, driven by killer guitars, hooks galore, and catchy as Hell choruses.
