Hailing from Ludwigsburg, CAVE are no strangers to the music scene. They are a group of musicians who have been shaping the German and international metal landscape for decades. Founded by guitarist Chris Lorey, the band was born out of a vision to combine classic old-school Hard ‘n’ Heavy with progressive elements and modern production techniques. Their debut album, “Out Of The Cave”, was released in 2024 and impressed us. Shortly after its release, the band went on tour in Germany and Switzerland, impressing audiences with their live performances.
However, having a singer from the US in a German band presented logistical challenges in this day and age. With heavy hearts, they parted ways with Ronny Munroe. However, the band did not give up, and after an amicable split, Germany’s most underrated metal singer took over the microphone. Tommy Laasch, best known for his work with CHINCHILLA, is a well-respected figure in the German heavy metal scene whose style fits perfectly with CAVE’s powerful, melodic sound.
Now, the next chapter of CAVE is about to begin. Their second album, “…Into The Promised Land“, will be released on 17 April 2026. The sound remains authentic, offering ten skilfully created and performed songs, drawing on the combined, long-standing experience of all the musicians. Fans of QUEENSRŸCHE, SAVATAGE, and MASTERPLAN can look forward to energetic hooks, epic melodies, and a production that is warm, modern, and uncompromisingly heavy.
One of the album’s strongest assets is its diversity, as nearly all ten tracks stand as distinct musical statements. The experience of the band members is evident throughout, with compositions that avoid predictability and maintain the listener’s interest from start to finish.
